Morning Routines That Save My Sanity (Even After Sleepless NIGHTS}
Because some mornings need a miracle — and coffee.
It was 6:17 a.m. My toddler was wide awake, chirping about pancakes. My eyes felt glued shut after a night of coughing fits, midnight cuddles, and exactly zero REM sleep. In moments like these, the choice is simple — either the morning runs me… or I run the morning.
A year ago, mornings in our home looked like a comedy sketch without the laugh track — clothes missing, breakfast burning, me juggling mascara and milk bottles. By the time I got to work ,i felt like i ‘d already done a full shift.
Then I realized: mornings don’t have to be perfect, just prepared enough to keep my sanity. I began testing little tweaks, and soon, the chaos dialed down.t to work, I felt like I’d already done a full shift.
Here are my sanity-saving morning moves:
Clothes the Night Before
No more “Where’s my other sock?” moments at 7 a.m. — everything’s ready and waiting.Breakfast on Autopilot
Our quick go-tos: overnight oats, banana pancakes, or toast with peanut butter. My toddler thinks it’s variety — I think it’s survival.Skip the Fancy Hair
Messy bun, headband, or ponytail. I save “good hair days” for days I actually have time to breathe.One Task Before Bed
Pack the daycare bag, prep the coffee machine, or load the dishwasher. Future-me always thanks past-me.

Some mornings still fall apart. And that’s okay. We’re not aiming for flawless — we’re aiming for functional. And for mums like us, that’s more than enough.
